This course equips participants with the knowledge and skills they need to conduct quality functional behavior assessments (FBA) and develop effective behavior intervention plans (BIP). Topics include the FBA/BIP process overview, records review, indirect and direct data collection, the competing behavior pathway, behavior interventions, progress monitoring, and supporting implementation. This course is useful for special education teachers, campus administrators, counselors, school psychologists and other school personnel who would benefit from enhancing their understanding of the FBA and BIP process.
